Poster for 1977 Performance of
OL at The Rathskeller
Orchestra Luna and Luna Image Index
NEW, March 2012!! Tony Achilles has kindly provided some photos he took at live performances in early 1977 (the Orchestra Luna II period). As Tony comments, "I don't know exactly where to start but to say that your Orchestra Luna site brings back great memories of the truly unbelievable and unique show that was Orchestra Luna. Any recording (even theirs) couldn't compare to experiencing a live performance." Many thanks to Tony for his comments and the use of his photos and for the image of the poster for the Tully Hall performance. Remember, respect the photographer! ADDED, April 2011!! I now have an original copy of the April 1975 issue of Pop Top, "The Record Buyers' Guide" published by Little Face, Inc., of Boston. This issue includes a very positive review of Orchestra Luna's album and the group itself. Be sure to check out the scanned images of the article below. Neil Fahey, who was the second drummer for the band in 1975-1976, was kind enough to provide an early publicity photo of Orchestra Luna/Luna that includes Chet Cahill. Chet, who was married to Billie Best, passed away recently and Billie forwarded the image to Neil in response to his contact and consolations. It is obvious that Chet was loved and respected by family, friends, and fans. Orchestra Luna/Luna Publicity Photo UPDATED, September 2009!! I have recently obtained an acetate demo LP version of the original (October, 1974) album. Be sure to check out my OL Acetate Demo Page, as well as looking at the images below. The acetate demo has the ORIGINAL tracks intended for the album release. Don Hanover has been kind enough to allow me to post a couple of his photos of Rick and the band from 1977 (see below). Don also took the photo for the Rathskeller poster at the head of this page. Thanks, Don! (Please note that these photos are copyrighted by Don. Respect the artist!) This page collects some of the images that are scattered around my Orchestra Luna and Luna pages in one place. Click on any thumbnail image to view a larger version of the image. If you're just dying for even higher resolution, let me know and I will see if I can provide you with a higher resolution file. All images of albums, singles, acetate demos, album and CD covers, record labels, promotional photos, and tapes were made from items in my collection with the exception of the 1977 Luna demo cassette, which was kindly provided by Eric Engstrom, and for several photos reproduced here with permission as described above.
